Myo Manual

OROFACIAL MYOLOGY:

From Basics to Habituation

The “Myo Manual” is the culmination of the author’s experience of over 30 years of treating and studying the many aspects of oral myofunctional disorders (“tongue thrust”).   It includes a subconscious training CD, a Night-Chart, and all three Time Charts.  Proficiency exams, home observation sheets, evaluation and oral examination forms as well as other forms are also included for the therapist’s convenience.   In it, you will examine and learn how to treat all three phases of therapy:
- Pre-Treatment Conditioning
- Swallowing Mechanics
- Integration into Lifestyle
Dozens of exercises and activities are provided for every small step along the path from “basics to habituation”, as the title implies.  It is a must for every speech pathologist who wants to know how to assess and treat oral myofunctional disorders of all types.
